Remember back in the day (10+ years ago) when SVG hit? I do. I kinda went bonkers for a little while trying to experiment as much as possible. I soon got bummed because I couldn't develop a website to be "accessible" by forcing people to download and install the plug-in. Sound familiar? (Macromedia Flash circa 1997) But there's still hope for SVG. It's not like the Compuserve GIF vs PNG wars. No way Jose. Scalable Vector Graphics on the Web, along with CSS3+ and some fancy mobile-tech is gettin' in high gear. I've seen some great concepts floating around. But what I'm really anticipating is what's beyond. I haven't given up on the mighty SVG. I will hold you dear and not expose you to the masses! |
